Appearance; There isn't anything remarkable about this particular creature, looking nothing more than a "modern day" teen by his world's standards. Or, to most cases, appears to be more of a goth judging by the midriff showing black top and the short black shorts that are held rather tight to his body. He also sports black almost army looking boots and a sheer long jacket-type of thing over his shoulders. As for looks he's a slightly tanned male, eyes a rather odd shade of moon yellow, eerie in their looks when put into the light or dark at that. Hair is a rather striking white color, almost in a mullet style at the top and ending in a braid that runs to his lower back. Stance is usually in a laid-back manner, expressions easily visible on his features.

Personality; To most he appears to be a regular laid-back guy if not slightly crude in his manners. He also appears to have a bit of a habit of poking and prodding at people to completely annoy them or to just get some kind of raise from them no matter how bad it could be. However when the mood strikes him he slips into a more philosophical mode, questioning things that would normally make a normal person's brain explode or take them years of contemplation to solve. Though this mood is rather rare as he seems to have little, if any, time to contemplate over things he already hadn't in his numerous years of existence.

Despite his loving of angering people he really does have a heart, if someone needs something from him he can, and usually will, help the person that is in need in any way he can manage. This has been shown many a time and would explain as to why he even stays in the shop as much as he does. He also has a very strong moral code as far as keeping people out of harm's way goes. Especially if the person in trouble is a little child, he seems to have a very high opinion of children unlike adults.

Abilities/Strengths; Ability to shift between a human and nine-tailed fox form as well as the power of illusions. Most of the illusions deal in the way people view him, though they don't always work. Sarcasm is also a big and well hone ability of the kitsune. To tie in with his illusionary tactics he also appears to have the ability to sense what people want from him, though it's limited to only being towards him and sometimes it's not always correct. To most people he can also appear as several different things, going so far as in one case he appears as four (or five) different animals to a family. However it has been shown that even while he's doing this that certain people can still see his human form as a little girl within the series in that family could. Ten-chan's affinity towards children is also a bit of a strength within itself, giving him more reason to help out in a tough situation if there's a child involved. Within his "true" form his abilities are multiplied by almost ten, however in this form he can't stay in it for terribly long, especially if he's using any abilities coupled with it.
Weaknesses; With being a general smart-alack he tends to get himself into trouble easily and isn't very good at getting himself out of it. He also is bad when it comes to situations that require strategic thinking and can't hold an illusion for a long period of time without a switch between different ones or a break. His ability to sense what people want from him is double-sided due to the fact he can only sense what people want from him and no one else, it also sometimes backfires on him. Also with a bit of distaste towards the general human adult population he becomes far too defense, going so far as to bite and nip if the situation calls for it. Also, in his true form, despite his power increasing he's also quickly drained of his energy, thus leaving him in his smaller kitsune form and unconscious which renders him absolutely defenseless.

History; His life began in the wilderness of China thousands of years ago, as a one-tailed kit he led a rather normal life for his species at the time. Unlike what most would have thought of his kind he was raised almost exactly as how a regular fox kit would have been raised. Taught how to hunt and to fight and the social aspects of the species he was born in to. However once Ten-chan was the equivalent of a five-year-old his training began in how to master his shape shifting abilities and for his age and class he was rather adept in his abilities.

Once he had graduated from the classes he took on several small jobs in their society, earning him two tails in the process. Once he came of age however he began to get rebellious, taking on the human's clothing and their society instead of the traditional one of his own. This began to wear on his society's last nerves to finally having him out casted from the society, forcing the still young kitsune to assimilate himself into the culture of the humans at the time.

Through his years of living amongst the humans and changing his appearance every so often to keep suspicions down he was approached by the first Count D with a proposition to come to his little pet shop of the time. A place where he wouldn't have to keep himself in hiding as much as he had. Ten-chan had rather quickly accepted the offer and from then on was a member of the shop.

With the shop changing locations every so often and finally ending up in Chinatown in California of the United States he had helped many a person with his unique abilities. However one of his more interesting challenges came up in Chinatown, a bickering family had wanted a pet and none could agree on what kind of animal they wanted. Thus Count D (the grandson of the first) had offered him to the family as he could mimic each animal they wanted. However, one of the family, a young girl saw his human self instead of any of the animals.

With the family's bickering he'd decided, instead, to help the young girl reunite the family. Through his actions he was able to get the family back together (though the exact details are fuzzy to most as to how he actually helped).

As of now, however, he's still stuck in the shop. Though he holds no anger towards this, more like boredom.
